Sleep Disorders Classification
Sleep disorders are conditions that affect normal sleep patterns and can impact health and daily functioning. They are generally classified into several groups: *insomnia*, which makes it hard to fall or stay asleep; *sleep-related breathing disorders*, like sleep apnea, where breathing repeatedly stops during sleep; *movement disorders*, such as restless legs syndrome, causing uncomfortable sensations and movements; *parasomnias*, including sleepwalking or night terrors, involving abnormal behaviors during sleep; and *circadian rhythm disorders*, where internal biological clocks are misaligned, leading to sleep timing issues. Proper classification helps in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
