Single-Level Cell (SLC) technology stores one bit of data per memory cell, representing either a 0 or a 1. This simplicity results in faster data access, higher reliability, and greater durability compared to more complex memory types. SLC NAND flash memory is often used in high-performance and enterprise applications because it can withstand more write and erase cycles, offering consistent performance over time.
