Slavery Convention
The Slavery Convention, established in 1926 by the League of Nations and later adopted by the United Nations, is an international treaty aimed at eliminating slavery worldwide. It defines slavery broadly to include forced labor, human trafficking, and servitude, and commits signatory countries to take legal measures to prevent and eradicate such practices. The treaty encourages cooperation among nations, promotes human rights, and establishes a framework for monitoring progress. Its goal is to abolish all forms of slavery, ensuring freedom and dignity for all individuals, regardless of circumstances.
