SLA (Stereolithography)

Stereolithography (SLA) is a 3D printing process that creates objects layer by layer using a powerful ultraviolet (UV) laser. The printer starts with a liquid resin that hardens when exposed to the laser. The laser precisely traces each cross-section of the object on the resin’s surface, solidifying only the areas needed. As each layer is cured, the build platform moves slightly downward to add the next layer, gradually forming a complete three-dimensional object. SLA is known for producing high-resolution, smooth-surfaced models suitable for prototypes, visualizations, and detailed parts.
