Site-Based Decision Making
Site-Based Decision Making (SBDM) is a collaborative approach where school staff, including teachers and administrators, have the authority to make important decisions at the school level. Instead of decisions being imposed from district officials, those closest to students analyze their needs and develop policy, curricula, and other priorities. This process promotes shared responsibility, encourages local problem-solving, and enables schools to adapt strategies based on their unique circumstances. Ultimately, SBDM aims to improve student outcomes by empowering school staff to make informed, timely decisions that directly impact their students’ learning experience.
