Sistan and Baluchestan
Sistan and Baluchestan is a large, mostly desert region in southeastern Iran, bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan. It is home to diverse ethnic groups, including Baluch people, and features a mix of mountains, deserts, and coastal areas along the Gulf of Oman. The region has a rich cultural history but faces economic challenges, including poverty and underdevelopment. It also has strategic importance due to its borders and natural resources. Despite its potential, Sistan and Baluchestan remains less developed compared to other parts of Iran, with ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and social services in the area.
