
Sir Philip Craven
Sir Philip Craven is a prominent British sports administrator and former Paralympic athlete. He competed in wheelchair basketball at the 1972 and 1976 Paralympic Games, winning medals. Later, he became a leading figure in sports governance, serving as President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) from 2001 to 2017. Under his leadership, the Paralympics expanded globally, increasing visibility and inclusion for athletes with disabilities. Craven is also known for his advocacy of accessible sports and promoting equality in sports opportunities worldwide.
