
Sir Peter Scott
Sir Peter Scott (1909-1989) was a British ornithologist, painter, and conservationist, known for his significant contributions to wildlife preservation and art. As the son of famed explorer Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Peter forged his own path by studying birds and their habitats. He co-founded the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, focusing on wetland conservation. A talented artist, he is renowned for his wildlife paintings, often featured in exhibitions. Scott also created the famous logo for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). His work has had a lasting impact on both conservation efforts and the appreciation of nature through art.
