SIR model (Susceptible-Infectious-Recovered)
The SIR model is a way to understand how diseases spread through a population. It divides people into three groups: Susceptible (those who can catch the disease), Infectious (those who have the disease and can spread it), and Recovered (those who have recovered and are no longer infectious). The model shows how people move from one group to another over time, helping predict how quickly an illness could spread and decline. It’s a useful tool for planning public health responses and understanding the dynamics of infectious diseases.
