SIP Call Flow
A SIP call flow describes how voice calls are established over the internet using the SIP protocol. When a person initiates a call, their device sends a "call request" to the service provider, which then contacts the recipient’s device to check for availability. Once the recipient accepts, the devices exchange information to set up a direct communication channel. During the call, data flows between the devices, and when one person hangs up, a "bye" message terminates the connection. This process allows voice calls to happen efficiently over IP networks, similar to traditional phone calls but over the internet.
