Single Point Positioning (SPP)

Single Point Positioning (SPP) is a method used to determine a precise location using signals from multiple GPS satellites received by a single receiver. By analyzing the time it takes for satellite signals to reach the receiver and knowing the satellites' positions, the system calculates the receiver’s latitude, longitude, and altitude. SPP relies on a connection to at least four satellites to accurately resolve the position and correct for factors like signal delays, providing a reliable way to pinpoint locations anywhere on Earth.
