Simponi

Simponi (generic name: golimumab) is a medication used to treat certain autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and ulcerative colitis. It is a biologic therapy that works by blocking a protein called tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), which contributes to inflammation and joint damage. By inhibiting this protein, Simponi helps reduce inflammation, relieve symptoms, and slow disease progression. It is usually administered as an injection by a healthcare professional or self-injected at home, typically once a month.
