Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat
Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat (known as "The Fox" during the Jacobite rising of 1745), was a Scottish nobleman and leader of the Fraser clan. Initially sympathetic to the Jacobite cause, he later switched sides to support the British government, playing a strategic role in suppressing the uprising. His complex loyalties and leadership skills made him a notable figure in Scottish history. Despite his efforts, he was eventually captured, tried for treason, and executed in 1747. His life exemplifies the tumult of Scottish clan loyalty and political conflict during the 18th century.
