
Simias of Rhodes
Simias of Rhodes was an ancient Greek philosopher from the 4th century BCE, associated with the Megarian school. He focused on ethics, emphasizing the importance of virtue and rational judgment in achieving happiness. Simias believed that living a life guided by reason and moral excellence leads to a fulfilled and harmonious existence. His teachings contributed to early discussions on moral philosophy, and while much of his work has been lost, he is recognized for integrating ethical practices with philosophical inquiry, helping lay the groundwork for later ethical theories in Western philosophy.
