Simians

Simians are a group within the primates that include monkeys and apes, characterized by their advanced brain development, social behaviors, and often larger bodies. They are divided into two main categories: New World monkeys (found in Central and South America) and Old World monkeys and apes (found in Africa and Asia). Simians typically have prehensile tails (in some species), complex communication skills, and greater cognitive abilities compared to other primates like lemurs. They are highly adaptable, often living in social groups, and play significant roles in their ecosystems as seed dispersers and prey for other animals.
