Silverchair

Silverchair was an Australian rock band formed in 1992, known for their alternative and grunge sound. Comprising Daniel Johns (vocals, guitar), Ben Gillies (drums), and Chris Joannou (bass), they gained fame with hits like “Tomorrow” and “Pure Massacre.” Despite their young start—Daniel was only 15—they achieved international success and critical acclaim through distinctive melodies and mature songwriting. Silverchair’s style evolved over the years, blending rock, alternative, and experimental influences. They disbanded officially in 2011, leaving a legacy as one of Australia’s most influential bands of the 1990s and 2000s.
