Sikorsky X2

The Sikorsky X2 is an advanced helicopter prototype designed to achieve high speeds while maintaining stability and maneuverability. It features a coaxial rotor system—two counter-rotating blades on the same axis—that reduces drag and increases lift. Additionally, it has a small tail rotor used mainly for steering. This design minimizes vibrations and allows for speeds much faster than traditional helicopters, aiming to reach around 250 knots (287 mph). The X2 combines agility, speed, and stability, representing a significant step toward next-generation rotorcraft technology for military and civilian uses.
