Signature algorithms
Signature algorithms are cryptographic methods used to create a digital "signature" for documents or messages. Much like a handwritten signature, a digital signature verifies the authenticity and integrity of the information. When someone signs a document electronically, the signature algorithm generates a unique code based on the content and the signer’s private key. This code can be verified by others using the signer’s public key, ensuring that the message hasn’t been altered and confirming the identity of the signer. Essentially, it secures communications in the digital world, enabling trust in online transactions and communications.
