Signal Flag Alpha
The Signal Flag Alpha, part of the International Code of Signals, is used to communicate that a vessel has a diver down and working below the water. When displayed, it alerts nearby boats and ships to stay clear and exercise caution to ensure the safety of divers. The flag is usually bright blue with a yellow cross, making it easily recognizable from a distance. Its purpose is to prevent accidents and coordinate safe navigation around areas where underwater work or diving activities are taking place.
