Sieve analysis

Sieve analysis is a process used to determine the particle size distribution of a granular material. It involves passing a sample through a series of screens with different-sized openings (sieves). The material is shaken or vibrated to allow particles to separate based on size, with larger particles caught on the coarser screens and smaller particles passing through to finer screens. By weighing the amount of material on each sieve, we can understand the proportions of different particle sizes, which is important for quality control in industries like construction, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
