Sieges
A siege is a military tactic where one force surrounds a city, fortress, or building to cut off supplies, communication, and escape routes, aiming to weaken and eventually force surrender. Instead of direct attack, the besieging army isolates the target, often blocking food, water, and reinforcements. Sieges can last weeks or months and are used to compel surrender without conventional battle. Historically, sieges were common in warfare to capture strategic locations with minimal direct conflict, often involving ongoing patience and resourcefulness from both attackers and defenders.
