Siege of Quebec

The Siege of Quebec took place in 1759 during the French and Indian War, when British forces aimed to capture the French-controlled city of Quebec in Canada. The British besieged the city, which was a key strategic point, by surrounding and bombarding it. Despite difficult conditions, British forces launched a daring nighttime assault on the narrow Plains of Abraham outside the city walls, leading to a decisive British victory. This event significantly contributed to the fall of New France and the expansion of British influence in North America.
