Sidereal Zodiac

The Sidereal Zodiac is an astronomical system used in astrology that defines the zodiac signs based on the actual position of the constellations in the sky. Unlike the Tropical Zodiac, which aligns with the seasons and the Earth’s orientation to the Sun, the Sidereal Zodiac adjusts for the slow wobble of Earth’s axis (precession). This causes the constellations to shift gradually over time. As a result, the Sidereal Zodiac reflects where the constellations are currently located relative to Earth, often resulting in differences in zodiac sign dates compared to the Tropical Zodiac. It is primarily used in Vedic (Indian) astrology.
