show jumping rules
Show jumping is an equestrian sport where riders guide horses over a course of obstacles within a set time. The goal is to complete the course without knocking down rails or refusing jumps, which results in penalties. Each knocked rail or refusal adds penalty points, and exceeding the time limit also incurs penalties. The competitor with the fewest penalties at the end wins. Riders can skip obstacles once, but doing so may increase penalties if they take longer. The sport emphasizes precision, control, and agility from both horse and rider.
