Shoah (Holocaust)

The Holocaust, or Shoah, was the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and mass murder of six million Jews by Nazi Germany and its collaborators during World War II (1941–1945). It also targeted millions of other groups, including Romani people, disabled individuals, Poles, Soviet prisoners of war, and others deemed undesirable. This genocide involved brutal methods such as ghettos, forced labor, and extermination camps equipped with gas chambers. The Holocaust is a profound reminder of the dangers of hatred, intolerance, and totalitarianism, emphasizing the importance of remembering history to prevent future atrocities.
