Shlichim
Shlichim are Jewish emissaries sent from Israel to around the world, primarily to engage with Jewish communities, promote Jewish culture, education, and values, and foster connections to Israel. They serve as ambassadors, facilitating cultural exchange, teaching Hebrew, organizing events, and strengthening communal ties. Shlichim often work for organizations like the World Mizrachi, Chabad, or the Jewish Agency, and typically serve for a fixed term, usually one to three years. Their work helps maintain Jewish identity abroad, build relationships with local communities, and support Jewish continuity globally.
