Shingon-shū
Shingon-shū is a Japanese Buddhist tradition founded in the 9th century by Kukai (Kobo Daishi). It emphasizes esoteric practices, such as rituals, mantras, and visualizations, aimed at achieving enlightenment in this lifetime. Shingon teachings focus on the belief that the Buddha's wisdom is inherent in all beings, and through ritual techniques, practitioners can realize their true nature and attain spiritual awakening. The tradition combines philosophical insights with elaborate ceremonies, often incorporating mandalas and sacred symbols, and plays a significant role in Japanese culture and spirituality.
