Shia theology
Shia theology centers on the belief that leadership of the Muslim community should have remained within the family of the Prophet Muhammad, specifically through his son-in-law, Ali, and his descendants called Imams. Shia Muslims view these Imams as divinely appointed, infallible guides who interpret God's will accurately. They emphasize the importance of the Imams' spiritual and temporal authority, believing they possess special knowledge and closeness to God. This faith underscores loyalty to the Imams, recognizing them as true successors to the Prophet and essential for understanding Islamic faith and practice.
