Shareholder activist

A shareholder activist is an individual or group that owns shares in a company and seeks to influence its management and policies to improve performance, governance, or social responsibility. They often advocate for changes such as restructuring, strategic shifts, or enhanced transparency. By using their voting power and engaging with other investors or the company's leadership, they aim to drive positive change in the company's direction, sometimes challenging existing management if they believe it will benefit shareholders and stakeholders in the long run.
