Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre was a famous open-air playhouse in London, built in 1599, where William Shakespeare's plays were performed. It was designed with a circular shape, a roofless stage, and seating around it for audiences, creating an immersive experience. Known for its distinctive architecture, the Globe used natural lighting and emphasized active audience participation. After being destroyed by fire in 1613, it was rebuilt in 1614 and operated until 1642. Today, a reconstruction called Shakespeare’s Globe stands nearby, allowing visitors to explore the historic structure and enjoy performances reminiscent of Shakespeare’s era.
