Shadow and reflection concepts

A shadow occurs when an object blocks light, creating an area of darkness behind it. Reflection happens when light hits a surface and bounces off, allowing us to see an image, like a mirror or water surface. Shadows reveal the shape and position of objects relative to light sources, while reflections show surfaces that can redirect light and display images of their surroundings. Both concepts involve the behavior of light—shadows result from absorption or obstruction, and reflections from bouncing light off surfaces. Understanding these helps us interpret visual cues and appearances in our environment.
