SGPC (Shri Guru Granth Sahib)

SGPC, or the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, is an organization responsible for managing and overseeing Sikh gurdwaras (places of worship) in Punjab, India, and some other regions. It was established in 1925 to preserve Sikh religious sites, uphold Sikh traditions, and support community services. Central to its duties is the care of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, considered the eternal Guru. The SGPC ensures the proper respect, reading, and preservation of this sacred text, facilitating religious ceremonies and maintaining the spiritual and cultural integrity of Sikh institutions.
