Sewer Rehabilitation Techniques
Sewer rehabilitation involves repairing or restoring existing sewer pipes to improve flow and prevent leaks or blockages without full replacement. Techniques include trenchless methods like pipe lining, where a resin-coated liner is inserted into the pipe to create a new surface inside; pipe bursting, which breaks the old pipe and pulls in a new one simultaneously; and slip lining, where a smaller pipe is inserted into the damaged one and expanded to fit. These methods minimize surface disruption, reduce costs, and extend the lifespan of sewer infrastructure while maintaining effective waste removal.
