The SEVIS Fee Payment process involves paying a required fee online through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s website before applying for a visa. After completing your Form I-20 or DS-2019, you generate a payment receipt. You can pay using a credit card or other accepted methods. Once paid, you'll receive a confirmation receipt, which you need to include in your visa application and present during your visa interview and at the U.S. port of entry. This fee helps fund the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), which monitors international students and exchange visitors in the U.S.
