Seven Wastes
The Seven Wastes are inefficiencies in processes that add no value, identified in lean management to improve productivity. They include Overproduction (making more than needed), Waiting (idle time), Transportation (unnecessary movement of items), Excess Inventory (holding more than necessary), Motion (excess movement by workers), Over-processing (doing more work than required), and Defects (errors requiring rework). Recognizing and reducing these wastes helps streamline operations, save resources, and improve quality, leading to more efficient and cost-effective processes.
