Seung Sahn, also known as Seung Sahn Soen Sa Nim, was a Korean Zen Buddhist master who founded the Korea Zen Center and brought Korean Zen practice to the West. His teaching emphasizes direct, everyday experience of Zen through meditation, mindful awareness, and engaging fully with life. He promoted an accessible approach to Zen practice, encouraging students to "become one" with their experience rather than rely solely on intellectual understanding.
