Sethu
Sethu, also known as the Ram Setu or Adam's Bridge, is a chain of natural limestone shoals, sandbanks, and small islands between India and Sri Lanka. It is believed to be a former land connection that has gradually submerged over thousands of years. According to Hindu mythology, it was built by Lord Rama’s army to reach Lanka (Sri Lanka) and rescue Princess Sita. Scientifically, it is considered a coral formation formed through geological processes. Sethu holds cultural significance and is also studied for its unique geological and ecological features, making it an important site both historically and environmentally.
