Sethian Gnosticism

Sethian Gnosticism is an ancient spiritual movement that views the material world as flawed or created by a lesser divine being, often called the Demiurge. Followers believe that true spiritual knowledge (gnosis) can help souls escape this world and return to a higher, divine realm. Central to their teachings is the figure of Seth, a biblical character representing a spiritual ancestor and the bearer of secret knowledge. Sethian Gnostics often interpret biblical stories symbolically, emphasizing inner enlightenment and a duality between the spirit (good) and matter (bad).
