Serous Papillary Carcinoma
Serous papillary carcinoma is a type of aggressive ovarian cancer that develops from the cells lining the surface of the ovary. It is characterized by abnormal, fast-growing tissue that forms forming papillary (finger-like) structures. This cancer often spreads quickly within the pelvis and abdomen, and may involve nearby organs or spread beyond. It is typically diagnosed at an advanced stage due to subtle early symptoms. Treatment usually involves surgery to remove as much tumor as possible, followed by chemotherapy. Due to its aggressive nature, early detection and prompt treatment are important for improving outcomes.
