Sequoia trees

Sequoia trees, mainly the coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), are among the tallest and oldest trees on Earth, native to California's coastal regions. They can grow over 350 feet tall and live for thousands of years. These conifers have thick, reddish-brown bark that protects them from fire and pests, and their dense foliage provides habitat for many species. Their remarkable size and longevity make them important ecological and cultural symbols. Sequoias thrive in moist, foggy environments, relying on both deep roots and the humid atmosphere to sustain their massive size.
