Sephardim
Sephardim are Jews descended from those who lived in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) before their forced expulsions in the late 15th century. They have unique cultural traditions, religious practices, and a rich history that differentiates them from other Jewish groups, such as Ashkenazi Jews. After expulsion, many settled in places like North Africa, the Middle East, and later the Americas, carrying their distinct customs, language (Ladino), and culinary traditions. Today, Sephardim continue to preserve their heritage, blending their historical roots with the cultures they adopted in new regions.
