Sentential Connectives
Sentential connectives are words or phrases that link two or more complete sentences (or propositions) to show how they relate logically. Common examples include "and," "or," "if...then," "because," and "but." They help clarify the relationship between ideas, such as addition, choice, condition, cause, or contrast. Using connectives allows us to build complex statements from simpler ones, making our reasoning clearer and more precise. In essence, they serve as the bridge that connects thoughts logically within a sentence or argument.
