Sensory neuron

A sensory neuron is a specialized nerve cell that detects stimuli from our environment or inside our body, such as light, sound, temperature, or pain. When it senses something, it converts that information into electrical signals and sends them to the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) for interpretation. These neurons help us perceive the world around us and respond appropriately. They form a crucial part of the nervous system, acting as messengers that communicate sensory information efficiently and accurately.
