Sensing and Perception

Sensing is the process of detecting information from the environment using our sensory organs—like eyes, ears, skin, nose, and tongue. Perception is how our brain interprets and makes sense of this sensory information, giving it meaning and allowing us to understand our surroundings. For example, sensing includes seeing a red apple or feeling its texture, while perception involves recognizing it as an apple and understanding its taste. Together, sensing and perception enable us to navigate, respond, and interact effectively with the world around us.
