Senate Majority
The Senate Majority refers to the political party that holds the most seats in the U.S. Senate, the upper chamber of Congress. The majority party controls key leadership positions, including the Senate Majority Leader, and has significant influence over the legislative agenda, committee assignments, and debate rules. This majority enables the party to set priorities, steer legislation, and generally shape the Senate's work. When one party has more than half of the 100 seats, they are considered the majority, guiding the legislative process and decision-making in the Senate.
