semi-automatic firearms

Semi-automatic firearms are guns that fire one round each time the trigger is pulled. After firing, they automatically eject the spent cartridge and load a new one from the magazine, making the next shot ready. Unlike fully automatic guns, which keep firing as long as the trigger is held down, semi-automatics require a separate trigger pull for each shot. This design allows for faster firing than manual actions like revolvers or bolt-action rifles but maintains control over individual shots. They are commonly used for sport shooting, hunting, and personal defense.
