Self as a Dialogical Process
Self as a dialogical process means that our sense of identity and understanding of ourselves develop through ongoing inner conversations. Instead of thinking of the self as a fixed or singular entity, we view it as a dynamic interplay of different perspectives, voices, or thoughts. These internal dialogues help us continuously negotiate and shape who we are, understanding our feelings, beliefs, and experiences. In essence, our inner world functions like a conversation among different parts of ourselves, allowing us to reflect, make decisions, and grow through this ongoing inner dialogue.
