Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is an advanced 3D printing technique where a laser selectively heats and fuses powdered material—such as plastic, metal, or ceramic—layer by layer to create a solid object. The laser carefully scans over the powder bed, hardening specific areas based on a digital design. After each layer, new powder is spread over the previous one, and the process repeats until the item is complete. SLS allows for complex geometries and durable parts without the need for support structures, making it ideal for prototypes, functional parts, and small production runs.
