Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)

Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is an advanced process used to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines and power plants. It works by injecting a urea-based additive (often called diesel exhaust fluid) into the exhaust stream. When heated, this additive reacts with NOx gases in the presence of a catalyst, converting them into harmless nitrogen and water. SCR effectively decreases harmful pollution, helping engines meet environmental regulations while maintaining performance. It’s a widely used, proven technology for cleaner air and compliance with emission standards.
