Selection ratio

Selection ratio is a statistical measure used in hiring or admissions to indicate how many applicants are chosen out of the total who apply. It is calculated by dividing the number of selected candidates by the total number of applicants. For example, if 10 people are hired from 100 applicants, the selection ratio is 10/100, or 0.10. A lower selection ratio suggests a more competitive process with fewer candidates being chosen, while a higher ratio indicates a more inclusive process. It helps organizations understand the level of selectivity and competitiveness in their selection process.
